WALK HARD
WALK HARD AT A GLANCE
The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity is dedicated to the support of Jeep Sullivan's Outdoor Adventures. Jeep is responsible for orchestrating hunting excursions, fishing trips, and other outdoor adventures for veterans who suffer from the effects of war mentally, physically, and spiritually. Because we believe in this cause, we dedicate our Spring Break to walk 128.3 miles from Troy University to Pier Park in Panama City Beach, to raise awareness and funds for the healing of the brave ones who fight to defend the freedoms we enjoy today.
HOW WE DO IT
6 days. 128.3 miles.
We depart from the Troy University Quad on Day One and embark on our first day, a grueling 28.3 miles. The following five days, our walkers will grind out 100 additional miles until they reach the sands of Panama City Beach, FL. Along the way, we are sheltered by various churches and fed by the kindness of many. Our walkers experience just a taste of what veterans have endured during their time in active service. Our temporary pain is brief in comparison and embraced with tenacity, humility, and thankfulness.
